Lorne Michaels is still keeping his word about "Saturday Night Live"

undergoing "a year of transformation." Three additional cast members of the NBC sketch comedy series

will leave before the 48th season of the show debuts. The most recent cast members

to leave the programme are Aristotle Athari, Melissa Vilasenor, and Alex Moffat.

Initially featured players on "S.N.L.," Villasenor and Moffat were later elevated to the main cast

in the fall of 2018. Athari was a featured performer on "SNL" last fall.

She had previously appeared with the comedy ensemble Goatface. The network declined to comment

when asked why these artists were quitting or if more changes to "SNL" were planned for the coming weeks.

Veteran cast members who had already left the show in May

Included Aidy Bryant, Kate McKinnon, Pete Davidson, and Kyle Mooney.
